Christmas time can be a season of great joy for many. However, it can be a time of loneliness and extreme stress for others. Here are sixteen of my favorite simple ideas to inspire you and others around you at Christmas time.

  • Smile and look people in the eye. With a simple smile you share the gift of love.
  • Take time out to reflect and regenerate mind, body and soul. Learn to become calm amidst any stressful situation.
  • Become the most positive person you can imagine. By using daily affirmations, we  increase our positive emotions and behavior.
  • Do special things for others you don’t know. In fact, giving service to others can be one of the  most powerful sources of inspiration.
  • As signs of stress arise, simply take five deep breaths and smile. So, learn to guard and maintain your inner peace.

  • At Christmas time, count your blessings. Make a list of what you are grateful for in your life and read it aloud each day.
  • Sing in the shower. By doing this, you set your positive intent by starting your day the way you mean to continue.
  • Give the gift of sharing your presence (not presents). Therefore, try giving your total attention to others and watch there reaction.
  • Find your source of personal inspiration and use these to create positive thoughts, emotions and behavior.
  • Hope is all that many people have to get them through. Therefore, focus on what you can do to bring hope to others with acts of kindness.
  • Learn to listen without responding and become a great listener. Allowing others to talk can be highly therapeutic.

  • At Christmas time, invite someone who has no family around them to share a meal at your table.
  • Listen to music each day that inspires you and puts a smile on your face.
  • When visitors are around, turn off the television and others sources of distraction.
  • Learn to live mindfully to experience a stress free Christmas time.
  • Visit a church service to enjoy the fellowship, music and find inspiration in sharing Christmas celebrations.
